Moulin Bronze Commission: Bronze Family Sculpture

This one-off commissioned bronze sculpture of Moulin, was created after her passing and Stephen was able to study images and talk with the client to learn more about her character.

Always starting with a maquette (small model) - Stephen can get to grips with the work, prior to the client approving the piece at this stage and then he can proceed to making the full-scale sculpture. In this instance, Moulin was 1 metre in length and her name disk was embedded above the artist signature on Moulin's thigh.

Something rather unique, Moulin’s ashes were embedded into a clay Boneo and then turned into a solid brick that is contained within the final bronze sculpture in the garden.

In addition, the client loved the maquette so much that she decided to commission four bronze maquettes - one for each of her childeren. Moulin now continues to live on in the hearts and lives of a wonderful family.
